Dear Friends of Angola,

Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Hungary, which also exercises diplomatic accreditation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Allow me to share some information about the relations between Angola and Hungary, which were formally established on 23 December 1975. These relations have always been characterized by genuine ties of friendship, mutual respect, and stable bilateral cooperation, currently structured through several agreements.

Since assuming the leadership of this Mission in June 2025, I have witnessed the consolidation and strengthening of the objectives that underpin the above-mentioned relationship, particularly with regard to the genuine interest in cooperation, diversification, and the expansion of areas of economic, political, and cultural development. The excellent institutional relations between Angola and Hungary are clearly visible, especially in the field of higher education and the training of professionals at universities of excellence.

In Hungary, I have found a well-integrated Angolan community. In this context, one of the main objectives of my mandate will be to work together in developing programmes that promote harmony, fraternity, and unity among all Angolans, while never forgetting our roots or our commitment to our beloved Homeland. Providing continuous support to our citizens engaged in university studies, culture, tourism, business, and many other fields remains a firmly established priority.

It is my hope that the website of our Diplomatic Mission will serve, on the one hand, as a useful source of information about Angola and, on the other hand, reaffirm the full availability and commitment of this Institution’s services to all those who may require them.
