Visit of the Secretary of State for Land Transport
During a technical mission to Hungary from March 2–4, 2026, an Angolan delegation led by Secretary of State for Land Transport Jorge Bengue Calumbo held working meetings with local companies. Highlights included an institutional visit to BKK - Centre for Budapest Transport (Budapesti Közlekedési Központ), the entity managing Budapest's integrated urban mobility system. The meeting presented governance, financing, and sustainability models supporting Budapest's public transit system, recognized for efficient multi-modal integration.

The delegation (including representatives from ENBI, ANTT, TCUL, and IGAPE) observed operational integration solutions, management mechanisms, and innovations contributing to system quality and sustainability.
The visit aimed to strengthen institutional cooperation and share international best practices to support public transport modernization efforts in Angola.
The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Angolan Embassy in Hungary to greet diplomatic personnel and align technical details prior to visiting Hungarian companies:
-
ANY – Security Printing Company
-
V-HÍD – Infrastructure Construction Company
-
BKK – Budapest Urban Transport Company
-
HEPA – Investment Promotion Agency
Following Transport Minister Ricardo D'Abreu's April 2025 visit to Hungary, this mission demonstrated mutual interest in strengthening cooperation ties.
